Drake’s Bay

La Fortuna — Arenal Volcano

It’s located in the Caribbean Region in the Limon coast, it’s an easy 3 hours drive from San Jose, but you can also get there by plane it will take you 30 minutes to get there.

Most part of the park consists on canals and lagoon networks very easy to navigate, and the beach is the most important site in the occidental half of the Caribbean for the nesting of the Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia Mydas) that occurs between July and September.

Coco’s Island

Coco's IslandAnd last but no least Coco’s Island National Park, scuba diving paradise, located 300 miles from the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica added in th Unesco’s World Heritage List in 1997.

Tourists are allowed ashore only with permission of island rangers, and are not permitted to camp or sleep on the island, so you are asking why I put it on the list? Because it’s one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Hammerhead sharks, rays, dolphins and birds are the main attractions on the island.
