Green Iguana Project at Kekoldi Indian Reserve
Visit an iguana farm within the Kekoldi Indian Reserve. Recently endangered, the iguana was preserved by indigenous people by captive reproduction. You will learn about the entire reproduction process and how iguanas are raised.
Beach Party
Experience morning on the beach like never before. Go boogie boarding and kayaking and enjoy a few brews while grooving to reggae music. Tour includes lunch and bar services(alcoholic and soft drinks not included).
Pineapple Tour
Savor sweet juicy pineapple picked freshly from a pineapple farm, while learning about the fruit’s production and exportation. You will ride through the beautiful Hacienda Ojo de Agua, while observing the production, followed by a demonstration of how the fruit is processed and packaged at the Del Monte plant. From an observation deck, you can see the entire plantation. You can also enjoy hummingbird gardens.
Cachabri Indian Village
Visit an indigenous village situated in the Talamanca Mountain range, and learn about its traditions, beliefs and rituals from a local medicine man. Later, walk through a botanical garden where he explains the use of plants as medicine. Finally, learn about the Iguana conservation project from the Bribri Indians.
